FREsCHDACHS

be a part of culture.
be art.
In our hu:goes14 rooftop bar, we give young, talented and up-and-coming artists a stage. The “Culture Corner” is not just about music – it is an experience that highlights the diversity of the Salzburg art scene. We firmly believe that art in all its facets is an essential part of our community and, above all, of the city of Salzburg. We are therefore delighted to offer creative and committed minds the opportunity to present themselves in our centre and thus reach a wide audience.
We cordially invite you to become part of this chapter in Salzburg’s art scene. Come and discover the fascinating world of local art at the arte Hotel Salzburg.

About FREsCHDACHS
With Fre(s)ch Dachs – cheeky, fresh and musically versatile
On 13 November 2025, a special musical highlight awaits you at Culture Corner: the trio Fre(s)ch Dachs. The three musicians: Vali, Julia and Janthé – founded their band while studying classical music and music education at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. The name Fre(s)ch Dachs plays tongue-in-cheek with the words “cheeky badger” and “fresh ducks” and reflects the curious, courageous and slightly mischievous spirit that characterises their music.
The ensemble unites different cultural backgrounds: While Vali and Julia come from Austria, Janthé brings influences from South Africa. This diversity can be clearly felt in their music. She combines classical precision with fresh ideas and a large dose of personality. Fre(s)ch Dachs knows how to surprise the audience with creative arrangements, cross-genre interpretations and a lively stage presence.
The trio has quickly made a name for itself within the Salzburg music scene. Their performances at university events at the Mozarteum, at cultural events in and around Salzburg and their concert tours to South Africa demonstrate their musical range. There they had the opportunity to perform with South African choirs, give private concerts and further develop their shared musical language.
Don’t miss the opportunity to experience these three “cool ducks” live, because their cheeky and badger-like tunes are guaranteed to remain a catchy tune in your memory.
