Our latest artists’ place featuring Coinflip Cutie was exactly the sort of evening we’d hoped for with this format: personal, approachable and musically really strong. Right from the first few songs, it was clear that the band weren’t just going to stand on stage and play through their set – there was an immediate connection to the venue, the audience and the atmosphere at hu:goes14.

With subtle indie moments, folk influences, alternative rock and that very unique blend of melancholy and a touch of humour, the result was a concert that never felt predictable. At times quiet and intimate, at times decidedly more intense – but always with plenty of feeling, a joy in performing and personality.

What we particularly loved was how relaxed the whole evening felt. There was no sense of distance between the stage and the audience, but rather the feeling of sharing a special concert moment together. It is precisely this sense of closeness that defines the Artists’ Place for us.

With their sound, charm and energy, Coinflip Cutie were the perfect fit for the evening and once again transformed hu:goes14 into a small, very special concert venue high above the rooftops of Salzburg.
