An evening full of rousing melodies, earthy grooves and unrivalled diversity – Chris May enchanted the guests of our hu:goes14 rooftop bar with his unique blend of blues, folk and country. Against the backdrop of the Salzburg evening sky, he offered a musical experience that we will remember for a long time to come.

From the very first sounds of his guitar, Chris May captivated the audience. His artful fingerstyle arrangements, combined with the use of harmonica and didgeridoo, gave each song a very special depth. Whether gentle ballads about life and love or rousing pieces that invited the audience to clap along – the diversity of his repertoire delighted both long-time fans and new listeners alike.

In addition to well-known songs, Chris May also presented tracks from his upcoming album “Ramblin Man“. The single of the same name, which has already been released, was very well received and impressively reflected the dedication and perseverance that characterise his musical journey. His stories about his adventures at sea – from Antarctica to Scandinavia – and the inspiring closeness to nature reflected in his music made the evening a particularly impressive experience.

His journey as a musician is characterised by hard work and unwavering determination. Before he was able to devote himself entirely to music, he pursued numerous professions in order to realise his dream. Today, he is an artist on stage who impresses not only with his talent, but also with his authenticity. His songs tell stories from life, of highs and lows, of faraway countries and unforgettable encounters.

While the guests enjoyed delicious drinks, our rooftop bar was transformed into a place of music, enjoyment and inspiration. Between the songs, there were personal anecdotes that gave an even deeper insight into his artistic world. In particular, his experimentation with various instruments such as the didgeridoo gave the performance a special flavour.

The evening showed once again that Chris May is not just a musician, but a storyteller whose works are taken directly from life. His unmistakable style, passion for his art and flair for atmosphere made this performance a real highlight.
