About Jasmine Wallner
As part of our artists’ place event series, the hu:goes14 Rooftop Bar was transformed on August 20, 2026—not into a concert stage, but into a special place for words, thoughts, and poetry. Our guest was Jasmine Wallner, who read from her poetry collection “Zwischen Haut und Vers” and took the audience on a deeply personal literary journey above the rooftops of Salzburg.
Under the title “Words Above the Rooftops of Salzburg,” the evening unfolded with moving texts, honest emotions, and personal stories. Inspired by her own life and, among others, by her great-grandfather, the Salzburg poet Jakob Haringer, Jasmine Wallner gave the reading a uniquely personal and local touch.
“I show what I feel. I write what I cannot say.” This idea could be felt throughout the evening. At times quiet and reflective, at others direct and intense, Jasmine Wallner created space for feelings and thoughts that often remain unspoken in everyday life. The focus was not on grand staging, but on the immediate connection between the author, her words, and the audience.
With sweeping views over Salzburg, a drink in hand, and words that continued to resonate long after the reading, the event became a truly special evening of literature, personal exchange, and the unique atmosphere of our rooftop bar.
After the reading, many guests took the opportunity to have their books signed and to speak with Jasmine Wallner in person – a wonderful conclusion to an evening filled with poetry, stories, and meaningful encounters, 14 floors above Salzburg.
