About Ingrid Rieck
Art that moves – from Tyrol to India
The arte Hotel Salzburg was delighted to present the vernissage of the artist Ingrid Rieck. An event that delighted art loversas well as friends of poetry.
Born in Krems an der Donau in 1945 and based in Seefeld in Tyrol since 1963, Ingrid Rieck has been a self-taught painter since her youth. Her works were created using a variety of techniques and reflected her deep connection with nature, landscape, wildlife and abstract forms of expression. With a keen sense of colour and form, she created art that touched people – often in the service of good: She donated many of her works to charity, for example to support a children’s home in India.
In addition to painting, Ingrid Rieck was also active in literature. She wrote poetry in dialect and High German as well as children’s stories and regularly appeared in readings and radio programmes.
The vernissage at the arte Hotel Salzburg was a great opportunity to experience Ingrid Rieck’s work in a special setting – right in the heart of the city, with a far-reaching view over Salzburg. An inspiring evening full of art, conversations and perspectives – in dialogue with the artist herself and embedded in the stylish atmosphere of our hotel. The exhibition lasted for several weeks and invited guests and visitors alike to immerse themselves in Ingrid Rieck’s colourful world and be moved by her expressive power.
