Duo Tropicanto
be a part of culture.
be art.
In our hu:goes 14 Rooftopbar, we give young, talented and up-and-coming artists a stage. The “Culture Corner” is not just about music – it is an experience that highlights the diversity of Salzburg’s art scene. We firmly believe that art in all its facets is an essential part of our community and, above all, of the city of Salzburg. We are therefore delighted to offer creative and committed minds the opportunity to present themselves in our centre and thus reach a broad audience.
We cordially invite you to become part of this chapter in Salzburg’s art scene. Come and discover the fascinating world of local art at the arte Hotel Salzburg.
Culture Corner – Local art for a global audience.
about the duo tropicanto
Last night, our Hu:goes 14 rooftop bar transformed into a place full of classical sounds. With the duo Tropicanto, which was founded in Salzburg in 2024, and the wonderful Nuria, our guests experienced an evening that playfully merged the boundaries between classical music, pop and rock.
David and Sabrina, the two outstanding musicians behind Tropicanto, fascinated our audience with their unique combination of clarinet and cello. But it wasn’t just the instrumentation that thrilled our audience: the cultural backgrounds of the two – Venezuela and Colombia – gave their pieces a multicultural depth that made every performance an authentic experience.
The two artists are currently studying at the renowned Mozarteum University in Salzburg, which is known worldwide for its excellent education in classical music. This symbiosis of technical skill and artistic passion was clearly evident last night. The audience was treated to a broad repertoire ranging from the masterpieces of classical music to modern chart hits. Every note was played with precision, emotion and the joy of making music.
Particularly impressive was the musical accompaniment by Nuria, whose musical talent brought an extra layer to the performance. Her harmonious collaboration with David and Sabrina gave the individual performances that certain something. From sensitive melodies that put the audience in a reflective mood to energetic pieces that invited them to clap along.
Our rooftop bar provided the perfect location for this classic Event. High above Salzburg, with a view of the fascinating city, the evening was a feast for all the senses. The atmosphere, the inspiring music and the special connection between the artists and the audience made this evening a wonderful memory.
A big thank you goes out to David, Sabrina and Nuria for their brilliant performance, which delighted us all. We would also like to thank our guests who shared this evening with us.
We are already looking forward to the next opportunity to welcome Tropicanto back and share another magical moment with them. Until then, we will remember an evening that celebrated the power of classical music in a very special way.
